Practices can put themselves forward for ‘hands on’ support that is available to them through the national General Practice Improvement Programme, as part of the delivery plan for recovering access to primary care.

The support helps practices make improvements to how they work, including having more control over their workload, maximising the use of all staff roles, meeting the needs of patients, and providing safe and equitable care.

The support includes:

  1. Intensive: six months facilitated support – final phase for 2023/24 starting October 2023. Deadline for signing up: 15 September 2023.
  2. Intermediate: three months facilitated support – next phase starting September 2023.
