Functional Maths & English

You may have seen our article in the Training Hub newsletter? We are pairing up with Northampton College to offer all our colleagues, both clinical and non-clinical or non-patient facing staff the opportunity to access this FREE course.  This is for staff all over the county North as well as South.

We have attached the outline of the course, the time commitment required,  the support you may need and the bespoke help that is offered to you from the college.  All of this is delivered via eLearning.

As some of you maybe aware, access to some of the higher apprenticeships Level 3 upwards, requires you to have either Maths and English GCSE grade C/4 or above, or Functional skills Maths and English Level 2 in order to meet entry criteria.  An example being the SNA (Student Nurse Associate) and the Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship.

This is a really good opportunity for those wanting to apply for apprenticeships in HR, Business admin, Accountancy etc, to name a few, and best of all you are supported through face to face tutorials and it is FREE.

Please circulate to your teams or even put a poster up in your staff toilets so staff can access the information.
