The Visible Leaders Network (VLN) is designed to support your career whether that be the next level up or into senior roles within the NHS. It is a network designed for Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority staff aimed at aspiring and emerging leaders, and you can join the VLN if you are an NHS employee working in the Midlands at Bands 4 - 8a level.
Why the VLN?
In response to the Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES), individuals and senior leads are looking for practical ways to develop and support aspiring BAME staff to achieve their full leadership potential.
Your membership and active involvement in the VLN not only supports your own professional and personal development but also contributes to shaping your organisation’s response to the WRES and wider inclusion agenda.
What’s in it for me?
Focused opportunities to develop the skills to positively influence the change you want to see for BAME people. To become a successful leader, networking is essential for creating personal and professional contacts to provide support, feedback and the resources that enable you to get things done.
What does the VLN offer?
- A ‘safe place’ for key conversations
