There is so much we could tell you about apprenticeships as there are literally hundreds of different programmes – clinical and non-clinical and ranging from Level 2 qualifications right through to Degree and Masters Level.

It is important to mention that apprenticeships are open to all ages – not just school and college leavers. Apprenticeships can be used to attract new recruits, but they also offer a fantastic opportunity to develop and upskill existing staff.

The good news is that currently, the Northamptonshire ICB has agreed to fund all primary care apprenticeship programme costs.

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, the Training Hub would like to promote what an apprenticeship looks like in primary care and to highlight how we are able to support some of our key roles.
