What is a Occupational Therapist?

Occupational therapists are increasingly involved in primary care to assist individuals with various health issues and chronic conditions in overcoming obstacles that hinder their participation in everyday life. They work with people to identify their needs and create plans to help them resume their daily activities despite health and social challenges. By intervening early and collaborating with others, occupational therapists can prioritise individuals' most important needs, potentially preventing crises, mitigating worsening conditions, and promoting independence and social inclusion. First Contact Occupational Therapist play n integral role in the Primary Care team.
